Nepal is also one of the poorest countries in the world, one third of the population lives below the poverty line. Obtaining healthcare is one of the major challenges people face in this developing country. This is where Scheer Memorial Hospital steps in to serve the people of Nepal. Though the cost of a doctor's consultation is only 33 cents, some patients cannot even afford that amount. However, no one is ever turned away for lack of money. People come from miles around, from the rural villages that have no roads, electricity or hope of providing medical treatment. Some even come carrying sick family members on their backs, because they know they will get the treatment they desperately need here, regardless of finances. Providing excellent healthcare to our community is our goal and passion.
